I NEVER WENT TO A CHURCH LIKE THIS BEFORE!

Ok, let's be honest. Many church services are so stiff and impersonal that you struggle to stay awake, wondering why you bothered getting out of bed - - formal religion with little participation. Little opportunity for relationship with the Lord or any other church member. Other congregations bounce to the other extreme and are so modern that you feel like you are in a rock concert, group therapy or an AMWAY convention.

While certainly not a perfect church, our goal at Church of the Holy Spirit is to help usher you into the presence of God and the Word of God so you can be in relationship with God. Furthermore, we purpose to teach you to obey all the Lord has commanded.

The Lord has given CHS unique DNA: we are a mix of tradition, reverence, informality, passion, humor, praise, and healing ministry.

Most people say that our services are very different from anything they have ever experienced. But most say they LOVE it! A CHS worship service is a blend of practical Bible teaching, contemporary praise music, some favorite hymns, communion, quiet and exuberance.

Equipped to do ministry

Many of us grew up in a church where the pastor did the "real ministry" and the laity watched. Anglicans and our church in particular do not think that is a scriptural pattern. Ephesians 4, 1 Corinthians 12 and other passages show that all believers have been given at least one spiritual gift to do the work of ministry. No pew sitters in the kingdom!

When you join our church we will ask you to not only give gerously to the Lord but also to SERVE and use your God given gift(s) to build up His Church.

What's the deal?

OUR GOAL IS TO HELP YOU KNOW JESUS CHRIST PERSONALLY and to be discipled to know His will for your life.

Secondly, we are all about worship, bible teaching, praying for each others needs, serving, missions, giving sacrificially and homegroups.

Those who come to church and SS regularly and who make the commitment to be an active part of a homegroup, usually love the church and develop significant relationships. Those who don't, don't! We hope you do.

Forrest Gump said his mama always told him "Life is like a box of chocolates, ya' never know what you gonna get until you try it!"

Some have said CHS is like that. Not every Sunday is exactly the same, so one Sunday will not give you a full picture or feeling for who we are. You have to come at least four or five times to know who we are. :-)
