Prayer
Church of the Holy Spirit is first and foremost a house of prayer (Isaiah 56:7).
"Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God" ~Philippians 4:6

Prayer Services
We offer special prayer services (usually once a month) where congregants simply come together in the sanctuary to sing praise songs and pray. This is an intimate time which builds closeness with our Lord and with other believers; an opportunity to gather together and seek God's face. Check out the "What's Happening" page of the website or the Sunday Bulletin for upcoming services.
Individual Healing Prayer
Do you feel the need for a prayer minister to pray with you? Are you struggling with your relationship with God? Do you need healing from hurts and experiences in your past? We offer individual healing prayer appointments. You can come receive private sessions (free of charge, of course) with trained prayer ministers.
Hospital and Homebound Visitation
Our ministers are available to come and visit with you or a loved one in the hospital or at home, to pray and share the love of Christ as well as bring communion. Contact Barbara Murray at the church office to schedule a visit.
School of Healing Prayer
In Matthew 10:7-8, Jesus says "As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.' Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give." At Church of the Holy Spirit, we believe that God still heals today. We offer classes in the School of Healing Prayer, developed by Christian Healing Ministries founders Francis and Judith MacNutt. Classes are offered at least once a year and we present the material both in classroom format as well as using practicum—application by practicing healing prayer in the classes. All of our prayer ministers must complete this curriculum in order to minister at Church of the Holy Spirit. Check out the "What's Happening" page of the website or the Sunday Bulletin for the next School of Healing Prayer class.
Intercessory Prayer
At Church of the Holy Spirit, we believe that God responds when His people pray. Our Sunday morning Service Prayer Intercessors are teams of 2 people who have committed to intercessory prayer on their monthly assigned worship service. They pray protection and blessing on behalf of the entire worship team—the praise band, the ministers, the communion servers—as well as the congregation.
Altar Call
On Sunday mornings following the sermon and during the Communion time, trained prayer teams are available in three stations along the back of the sanctuary to pray with folks who have needs—whether seeking to pray to become a Christian, in search of encouragement, or prayer for physical healing. This is often a very powerful time of encountering the love of Christ through the ministry of prayer.
